Job description:

Principal Telemetry Engineer 

Locatio: England & Wales.

Outline of role 

This role has the responsibility for delivering telemetry projects for major commissions and acting as a Technical Authority to a number of complex projects.

The person will manage design and system specification work including managing a team of engineers delivering telemetry project work and will ensure the delivery within timescales, budget and scope.

The person will undertake design reviews/audits of the projects and approve project outputs, confirming that that the designs meet the client’s requirements and that project delivery principles have been adhered to.

The person must be proactive and able to work with minimal supervision, and be prepared to work on customer’s sites.

Specific duties include scoping client requirements, producing feasibility reports and costing, carrying out conceptual system designs, producing contract specifications, supervising in-house and outsourced elements of projects, client installation and commissioning through to handover of the system to the client and being responsible for Health and Safety and CDM issues for site activities.

Qualifications required 

Qualified to Degree level in Electrical Engineering preferably with a professional registration with an appropriate Institute.

Experience required 

Suitable candidate will have experience in design and management of complex EICA, Telemetry and SCADA design projects, experience in site commissioning and H&S requirements.
