Job description:
Principle Systems Engineer
Our client, a European leader in the recreation and retail sector, are seeking to hire a highly experienced Lead Systems Engineers with experience in Windows and Linux and team lead/supervisor experience.
This is an opportunity to join a new operation and help create and build the next generation of our client's systems. You will be actively involved in the build and support of new e-Commerce systems and web platforms as well as supporting the infrastructure and database operations. You will also be expected to be experienced with leading teams, mentoring new hires and leading projects.
You should have demonstrable and high level enterprise experience with Linux and Windows servers and Operating Systems. Additionally you will have strong experience of FTP and SFTP; scripting and programming languages such as Shell/Bash, Perl, Powershell, Python or VB; experience with data centre environments; SANs (in particular IBM) and virtualization experience (preferably with VMWare or VMWare ESX).
