Pricing & Risk Officer
Our Client, a leading Global Financial Services Company, in Dublin City Centre has a vacancy for a Pricing & Risk Officer.
Responsibilities:
- rovide assistance and support in relation to the management of Global OTC vendor relationships
- Analyse and report OTC vendor spend and monitor budgets
- Analyse global OTC statistics and investigate as required to produce relevant commentary and suggest areas for development
- Assist with the investigation process in relation to the pricing of OTC derivative positions and any ad-hoc requests that arise on a regional basis
- Assist with other Ad-hoc requests that may arise within the overall department globally
- Assist with global communication and fostering positive teamwork throughout the team in all regions
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the team
- The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators
- The jobholder will implement the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term 'compliance' embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply
- This will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators
Requirements:
- University degree / Masters in business, finances or related field
- Ability to reverse engineer derivative valuations.
- Ability to problem solve, suggest process improvements and agree appropriate course of action
- Understand the key pricing drivers of derivative instruments
- Strong communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation
- Ability to deal confidently with senior representatives of client or vendor organizations
- Ability to promote a strong sense of client satisfaction both internally and externally in relation to the Global Pricing team
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple skill-sets/ departments
- Experience working with globally diverse teams
- Proficient in MS Excel / Word/Power point/Access and Project
- Ability to work effectively on an individual basis or as part of a team
