Project Accountant Financial Reporting Contract 

Our Client, a leading Financial Services Company, in the heart of the City Centre have a position for a Project Accountant Financial Reporting

Responsibilities: 

  • The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for the production of fund and management accounts for all the fund and management companies under administration, including addressing any taxation issues.
  • The primary duty is to manage the accounts preparation process to ensure high quality financial statements are finalized on a timely basis, while maintaining strong relationships with both auditors and clients
  • Apart from these direct responsibilities, the individual is expected to be a key source of technical advice as it relates to accounting issues for all parts of the company and other parts of the Group
  • Plan the accounts preparation/audit process
  • Regularly liaise with clients and auditors
  • Review financial statements and underlying files to ensure timely sign off and filing
  • Monitor compliance with regulations and accounting standards
  • Resolve any issues arising in the accounts preparation/audit process
  • Implement and update where necessary, Procedures
  • Manage, coach and motivate staff
  • rain and personal/technical development of staff
  • Management information reporting
  • Oversee of specified projects

  

 Requirements/ Qualifications  

  • Third level qualification
  • Professional accountancy qualification

 Essential skills:

  • You must be qualified with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience (ideally from Big 4),
  •  2-3 years industry experience
  • IFRS being an advantage. Interviewing immediately please apply for consideration.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong contacts with both auditors and clients
  • A track record in managing staff, with proven motivational and leadership qualities and a demonstrated commitment to personal and staff development
  • A high level of organisational ability and commitment to the delivery of a quality service to the client
