My client, a leading IT organisation in North County Dublin, currently has an exciting opportunity for a General Ledger Accountant.  The client is a leading international company with offices worldwide and the role is a 6 month contract with a view to extending.


This role involves the following:

- Month End Close/Financial Reporting - review activity (both Trade & Intercompany) to ensure all monthly entries have been received and processed
- Month End Close/Financial Reporting - preparation of journals into ERP platform
- Month End Close/Financial Reporting - perform various reconciliations in a timely manner in line with company deadline (review & correct any discrepancies)
- Month End Close/Financial Reporting - Ad hoc supplementary reporting
- Statutory Audits - to assist in year- end & interim external audits
- Actively drive process improvements within the organization to ensure GL accounts are both accurate and reflective of current business conditions
- Work with our intercompany finance teams around the world, analyzing intercompany out of balance and providing advance notice & ultimate resolution of disputes.
- Running Intercompany payments to ensure AP and AR Ledgers correctly reflect monthly activity by applying intercompany netting information provided by Treasury.
- Review and take appropriate action on pending AP Invoice/Credit Notes.
- To partake in other reports and/or projects as advised by the Controller.

The successful candidate will satisfy the following requirements:

- Qualified Accountant;
- 2years+ PQE within a multinational or top 10 accounting practise;
- Knowledge of Oracle Financials or similar system;
- Multinational experience advantageous;
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and excellent attention to detail.


Salary: up to €48,000 DOE
