Job description:

Process Engineer

In partnership with its client CPL is currently seeking an experienced Process Engineer for a permanent role based in Dublin West.

Working within the Technical Services team the Process Engineer will provide technical and process engineering solutions to support, develop and improve existing and new manufacturing processes.

Duties:

• Propose process engineering solutions for the manufacturing processes (mixing, evaporation, filtration, chromatography, drying and blending)
• Be the expert on manufacturing process equipment and instrumentation.
• Assess current plant and equipment suitability, capability and limitations, and propose any necessary engineering upgrades.
• Identify and assess new and existing equipment for new process introduction.
• Create P&IDs and process flow diagrams for manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Lead investigations to understand root cause for process unplanned events and propose effective CAPAs.
• Compile and analyse process data using statistical tools to identify variation and provide recommendations to reduce and control same.
• Identify opportunities for improvement of manufacturing processes with a view to increasing yield, decreasing cycle time and cost of goods.
• Participate in risk assessments and HAZOPs of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Prepare and/or review production documentation (batch records, qualification/validation protocols and reports).
• Provide process engineering support to new capital projects.
• Develop the process engineering knowledge of both the Technical Services and Production teams.

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or related technical discipline
• 3+ years experience in pharmaceutical industry.
• Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement experience.
• Experience working in an automated bulk manufacturing facility.
