My client, a global market leader has a newly established EMEA Shared Service centre that supports business transactions in the areas of Finance, Accounting and Managed Services. They are now looking to grow the Finance team and are looking for a Financial Analyst.
Description:
Reporting to the Service Team Manager or Supervisor, the Finance Analyst, is responsible for providing commercial services, in general accounting areas (such as fixed assets, intercompany, general ledger, bank, and transactional tax.)
The primary activities that you will be performing include:
- The provision of accounting services to the EMEA region including transaction processing, general accounting and reporting - Monthly and quarterly close in accordance with strict reporting deadlines - Supporting the launch of SAP across major markets in Europe. - Partnering with key stakeholders (Finance, Sales Procurement, etc) to ensure that all transactional activity is properly recorded and compliant with country statutory and tax requirements. - Seek out opportunities for streamlining and rendering service delivery more efficiently, and participates in special projects to support Shared Business Services objectives. - Additional responsibilities to support a new organization in Europe as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree required. Candidates should also be undertaking a professional Accountancy qualification - Fluency in French and English - A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated work experience within the General accounting and/or multinational shared services area. - Experience working in an organization providing services across multiple markets or geographies. - A minimum of one year of experience working with SAP. - High degree of integrity and personal ethics in implementing corporate policies and procedures - Effective team player with collaborative focus - Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, under pressure, and with a high degree of professionalism - Experience working in a SOX404 environment would be a distinct advantage. - Strong oral and written communication skills.
A salary of €40-45,000 is on offer to the successful applicant.
