Job description:  We are currently recruiting for an experienced Manager who will be responsible for coordinating and managing the Transmission Implementation activities for our client.

The Transmission Manager shall maintain a direct working relationship with internal / external personnel related to the Transmission projects, such as:

• Customer Transmission programme managers
• Operations Director
• Project Managers
• Transmission Team
• Contract/Subcontractors working on Transmission projects

Main Tasks

• Day to day management and delivery of the Transmission Implementation Team
• Day to day interaction with the Transmission Design, Planning leads and Programme managers on the customer side.
• Responsible for the Transmission Implementation Process. Ensuring the transmission project managers are following their project plans, within agreed timescales, budget and quality SLA's where specified.
• Manage the Transmission departments activities within agreed scope of work and program activity according to the agreed contract and SLA's with the relevant customers.
• Record actions, action assignees, deadlines and other information from the weekly Transmission Teams meetings in the approved Minutes of Meeting format and follow-up and ensure actions are completed on time.
• Ensure competent and adequate transmission resources are engaged to deliver the relevant programmes aims.
• Identify issues, propose solutions and assign actions to ensure the agreed Transmission Implementation Plan is achieved.
• To actively encourage safety awareness and best practice among all employees and sub/contractors.
• Manage the monthly customer reporting process with the relevant Transmission Project Managers. Following the issue of reports ensure that the relevant PO's or Invoices are processed through the Accounts department.
• Ensure that the Transmission implementation team process site material requests in line with the customer's process.
• Review and approve invoices from contractors and subcontractors or suppliers within the set limits of authority.
• Promote innovation and implementation of new ideas and best practise.

Competence Requirements

• Experience in the field of mobile telecommunications network rollout managing Transmission Implementation programme teams.
• Good customer and service supplier management skills.
• Experience in managing Transmission and Link Installation and Commissioning engineers.
• Experience of the installation, commissioning and acceptance of a wide variety of equipment vendor wireless links. (e.g. Ericsson, Siemens, Nokia, Stratex, Huawei, Ceragon)
• Proficient in written and spoken English as a business language.
• Able to communicate effectively with all interfaces.
• Proficient in using MS Office applications, including Outlook (email), Excel, Word and Power Point and project planning software packages.
• Proficiency in using wireless link engineering software packages such as Pathloss, Ellipse or TEMs would be an advantage.
